What's New In PipeTech 5.X?
First of all, the range of software and hardware available has increased:
- New optional Manhole and Lateral inspection modules for Scan and Check.
- The PipeTech inspection interface is our second generation overlay device: Pii (pronounced 'pie').
- New "Edit" module for View, allowing library data to be edited
Secondly, the software has an incredible amount of new features:
- MPEG-1/2 Software compression module
- MPEG-1/2 decoding module
- Support for MPEG-1/2 video properties adjustment during playback
- Adjustable JPG quality
- Support of media label printing
- Support for Text-to-speech voice-over
- Additional PACP validation features.
- Custom labeling and positioning of data on the video overlay.
- Custom function keys.
- Paper or digital reports of work done on a particular date or in a specific location.
- Association of manhole and/or lateral inspections with the relevant mainline data.
- Lateral inspections can be made "inline", i.e., with the mainline inspection paused (specific MPEG-1 compression devices only).
- Association and inline recording of manhole, lateral and mainline inspections.
- Additional video handling features.
- Interactive inclinometer graph.
- Manhole and Lateral modules built into the basic View product.
Thirdly, the whole product line supports more and more hardware:
- Ipek Overlay Support
- Aries VL2015 for inclinometer data
- New USB video compression devices allowing once again for a laptop inspection solution
- Our new Pii will allow switchable inputs from two video and/or data sources
- The Pii also displays grout volume, pressure and inclination from metric or English sources
